Truly a great restaurant. Great food, great staff. It's the only perk of visiting Duncan, OK USA.
Maybe we got the wrong day, but the staff was grumpy and the food took a long time to come out, at an okay quality. Having known Applebee's only from pop culture so far, I am wondering what the fuss is all about.
Staff was rude and we were told no substitutes even for allergies for which we had to pay for things we could not have and extra for the substitutes. What we did get tasted good.
You get what you get and you don’t throw a fit. I suppose that what this Applebee’s lives for. It’s about the best of its type of restaurant in about an hour vicinity so it gets to keep existing. The food is on par with other Applebee’s and the staff is uninterested most of the time. All in all a sad story and inevitable regret every time.
My husband ordered a steak medium rare. It came to table over cooked. After sending it back they brought the same overcooked steak back to the table after cooking it some more. So they took it back brought another steak that was also overcooked and so tough it could not be cut with a knife and could not be chewed. It was all gristle. He is trying for a pork chop now. It better be good or I am hiding under table.
